Why Insurance Agency Reviews Are Important

When it comes to finding insurance, most people head to the internet. A quick Google search will bring up a wealth of information that you can then use to find a policy and insurer. With that in mind, it has never been more important to have a good online reputation as an insurance agency. One of the most trusted sources of information for consumers are online reviews. In fact, 88 percent of consumers stated that their buying decision was influenced by online reviews. Quite simply, if you aren’t tracking your online reviews or asking customers for them - now is the time to start.

Encouraging Client Reviews

Typically, those that are dissatisfied or unhappy with a business are more likely to leave negative reviews, whereas happy customers aren’t as vocal. Unfortunately, this can shift an agency’s online reputation, leaving it with very few positive remarks. As a result, potential customers will be put off reaching out to your business.

  1. Request Reviews

Many insurance agencies fear asking their clients for reviews because they don’t want to seem bothersome or pushy. However, simply asking for reviews is one of the best ways to bring in more reviews. You might be surprised to hear that many clients will happily write a review if an agent asks. While working with a client, you can politely request they leave a review on any of your platforms.

  2. Email

Asking for a review via email is a great way to go. While a client may visit a review site in their free time, asking for a review in an email creates a convenient opportunity to leave a comment quickly. Most people check their emails multiple times a day, so make sure you ask in a quick and clear way. You can also include links to your review platforms in your signature so that your client is reminded every time you reach out to them.

  3. Website

Online tools make filling out reviews easy and quick. Include a page on your website where clients can leave a review so that they don’t have to leave the site. You can also choose to embed links on other platforms throughout your site to provide ample opportunity.

Harnessing good reviews and knowing how to handle negative reviews can help your insurance agency stand out from the crowd. Need more help on reputation management and boosting your insurance agency business? Contact the professionals at Stratosphere Marketing Solutions to get started.
